PTSD 1111 Crowd Control

A 1,111-Person Performative Art Project in Central London

A Future Where Trauma Is Regulated—Or Understood?

What if trauma became so widespread that society had to regulate it?

In this near-future vision, anxiety and PTSD have reached a critical mass. Governments worldwide deploy PTSD Crowd Control Units—teams designated to manage public distress, contain emotional breakdowns, and regulate trauma in urban spaces. A world where human suffering is institutionalised, yet misunderstood.

But what if there was another way?

What if, instead of control, we chose connection?
Instead of suppression, we chose healing?
Instead of shame, we chose solidarity?

The Project

On xx.xx.2025, 1,111 individuals will gather in Central London, each wearing a high-visibility vest emblazoned with “PTSD CROWD CONTROL.” These vests—both uniform and deeply personal—symbolize a world where trauma is acknowledged, but not yet fully understood.

By standing together in this live, large-scale art installation, we make the invisible battles of millions impossible to ignore.

Each vest is a signed, numbered art piece, created by Tolleck Winner, turning every participant into both an individual and a collective voice for awareness.

At the event’s climax, we will assemble into a structured yet chaotic formation, blurring the line between control and disorder, stigma and solidarity, oppression and empowerment whilst conducting street interviews with participants, sharing important stories.

Why This Matters

We live in a world where trauma is everywhere—hidden in our streets, our workplaces, our homes. Yet society forces people to suppress their struggles, to “carry on” in silence.

PTSD Crowd Control is a wake-up call.

By participating, you:
Become part of a groundbreaking public art movement
Receive a unique, signed, and numbered art piece (your vest)
Stand in solidarity with those affected by PTSD, anxiety, and trauma
Help amplify awareness of mental health struggles on a massive scale
Take part in an artwork that will live on in history, including exclusive access to digital immortalization through NFT minting

Who This Is For

This is for those who have experienced trauma.
For those who have watched a loved one suffer.
For those who believe in the power of visibility, conversation, and community.
For those who are tired of silence.

No prior experience is necessary—just a willingness to stand, to be seen, and to be part of something that matters.
