About Tolleck Winner

Tolleck Winner is British artist and sculptor based in Essex, England. He is a Member of the Royal Society of Sculptors (MRSS). His lifelong passion for art and sculpture started at a very young age. His mother vividly remembers seeing Tolleck mixing mud with water in their garden to create sculptures of people at just five years old.

But, it was only in 1996 after an almost fatal road accident that art became the lifeline which helped him turn his life around.

Since that consequential period in his life, Tolleck has been creating works of art in diverse media including bronze, steel, oils and acrylic to express his ideas on humanity and the fragility of the human condition. He has interwoven the symbolism inherent in disparate subjects such as skulls, spectacles, people in motion to show us that in time and space it is always love, unity and peace that transcend everything else.

A Collective Healing Through Art

What is PTSD 11111?

PTSD 1111 is a transformative art initiative designed to help individuals process trauma through creative expression. It provides a safe, supportive space where people can create, connect, and heal as a collective. Through workshops, storytelling, and performance art, PTSD 1111 fosters community, amplifies voices, and raises awareness about trauma’s profound impact on society.

Why This Project Matters

Every moment, millions silently battle PTSD. In an era where anxiety and disconnection are on the rise, PTSD 1111 offers an essential outlet for healing. The project was born from the personal journey of Tolleck Winner, who found solace in art after surviving a life-altering head-on collision. Art became his therapy, guiding him toward healing. Now, through PTSD 1, he extends that same opportunity to others—transforming pain into beauty, loneliness into community, and silence into shared stories.

How PTSD 1 Works

  • Art as Therapy: Creative workshops where individuals can process their trauma through hands-on artistic expression.
  • Storytelling & Awareness: A platform for trauma survivors to share their experiences through interviews and digital content.
  • Public Art & Performances: Large-scale participatory art installations, such as the ‘CROWD CONTROL’ performance, where 1,111 people will wear uniquely numbered high-visibility vests to symbolize the presence of PTSD in society.
  • Community & Support: A growing network of people invested in healing, connection, and advocacy for mental health awareness.

Mission

At any given moment, over 2.6 million people in the UK suffer from PTSD. PTSD 1111 aims to create a community-driven, artistic approach to trauma healing by empowering individuals to tell their stories, express their pain through art, and find a support system that understands them.

In 2025, PTSD 1111 will provide 1,111 people with access to healing through free workshops, performance art, and community engagement—offering a path to rediscover beauty in life through creativity.

Vision

We envision a world where trauma does not isolate but unites—a world where art is a bridge to understanding, healing, and connection. PTSD 1 strives to:

  • Create healing spaces where individuals can express, process, and overcome trauma.
  • Build a stronger, more connected society where everyone feels seen and heard.
  • Turn pain into purpose, using art as a transformative tool for mental health awareness.

Redefine public spaces through collective art performances that challenge perceptions and spark meaningful conversations.
